| It's all over –
including the singing!
Many thanks to everyone who attended the Festival in Belper on
16th, 17th and 18th May 2003.
The Festival organising committee and all of the Rough Truffles
had a ball and, judging from the many emails we have received since
then, so did everyone else who braved the bad weather and took part.
The singing was of a very high standard – big choirs and small
groups alike – and most people came away inspired by the excellent
performances seen and the new pieces heard.
We will keep this web site alive until we hand over to Leeds for
next year's event and we have started to post photographs on our
new Photo Page - if you have any contributions
we would be glad to display them.
We have a number of lost property items to hand - if you got home
and found you were something missing, let us know.
Finally…. a few of the comments received
in the festival email inbox:
"We loved every minute."
"You are all so friendly and welcoming and the event was brilliantly
organised."
"I particularly enjoyed the final sing in the Riverside Gardens.
Please pass on my thanks to all those who helped to make that such
a wonderful end to the festival."
"We had a fantastic time, despite the rain,…."
"Everyone we met, either around the town or connected with
the event was so pleasant and helpful. Singing in the rain will
never be same!"
"The atmosphere was so positive and welcoming,"
"…..we had a great trip down and really enjoyed ourselves."
"Well Done! A superb effort."
